Isabel la Católica

Isabel la Católica was a very important Queen in Spain. She, together with her husband Fernando el Católico, obtained the permanent union of Spain and the beginning of an overseas empire in the New World, led by Christopher Columbus under Isabel’s sponsorship.

Isabel was the mother of Juana la Loca.
